2025 – Sudha Unnava, LFA & Biophilic Designer

“I am honored to be a recipient of the ARE grant (category 2) from the Arizona Architecture Foundation for 2025. I came across this unique opportunity on LinkedIn as one of my professor’s/mentor Phil Horton shared this post on his LinkedIn feeds earlier in 2025.

Receiving this grant will help me ease my cost of ARE exams so that I can focus less about the financial burden and focus more on preparing for these exams and look for opportunities to aid me with the preparation for ARE’s.

Thank you so much for selecting me as a recipient for this grant.”

2025 – Ally Kwan

“The Architecture Registration Exam Grant provides crucial financial support as I work toward becoming the first licensed architect in my family. As a daughter of an immigrant parent, I have witnessed firsthand the resilience and dedication required to build a future from the ground up, I hope to do the same as an architect in creating a positive impact to my local communities. This funding eases the burden of the ARE exams, allowing me to focus on studying and achieving licensure without worry of financially fronting the cost of an exam fee.

With this support, I will continue striving toward my goal and contributing meaningfully to Arizona’s architectural landscape as my mentors have done before me. I am so grateful to have been selected by the Arizona Architecture Foundation, with this grant I am one step (or perhaps SIX steps!) closer to achieving this life long dream of mine!“
