Bennie Gonzales Architectural Collection
Bennie Gonzales, Arizona native and internationally known Architect, is celebrated for his style of modern regionalism, which incorporates local materials, climate and culture with modern design. His buildings are adapted to the harsh desert climate and combine complex volumes into functional space. During his prodigious career, Gonzales designed almost 300 public, religious and residential buildings in Arizona, Mexico and Saudia Arabia. Some of his notable projects include the Nogales Public Library and the Scottsdale Civic Center in Arizona. The collection includes presentation and working plans, photographs, publications and other records documenting his projects.
